Wants to be Yoga Teacher !	Can't Post

Hallo Friends,

I am originaly from Pune and staying in Switzerland since last 20 Years. I wish to start with the Yoga School within next 5 years and wish to get prepared at the iyengar yoga institute in Pune. Looking for further information.

Unfortunately the official site of iyengar - http://www.bksiyengar.com/ is not functioning.

As far as I know, most of the Iyengar yoga teachers in Switzerland have done their teacher training in Paris, France.

Try contacting a teacher in your region, you can find a list of teachers on: http://www.iyengar.ch/.

The Swiss Iyengar Yoga Association (see link above) will also be able to give you more information about studying in Pune, you can get a registration form.

I just read your post en its now august 2006 and I wonder how you are doing, because I also go in that direction, in about 7 years I have the wish to open a Yoga School in Punta Arenas in Chili. I live know in the Netherlands where I also are born. It maybe a strains move but something inside is telling toe doe so, my wish is to follow up that instruction. I hope you have achieve in your mission…. If you have, it give my hope toe doe as well.

Check out the official website of BKS Iyengar: http://www.bksiyengar.com/

To my knowledge, you need 7 years of practice with a certified Iyengar yoga teacher to learn yoga with the Iyengars in Pune. I have also heard that there are exceptions, if there are no teachers in your country - then you wouldn't have to wait 7 years. If you are planning on going - it's good to book way in advance!
