High Blood Pressure - restrain from doing some asanas Can't Post

Some asanas are advised not to be done if the person is suffering from some ailments, for example, people having high blood pressure should not do chakrasana, sarvanga asana, halasana, sirshasana etc. Can these asanas be done by people whose BP is under control with medicines ?
Thank you

I have high BP controlled by meds and have practiced yoga - all poses without any problem for several years - I have been to classes where the teacher is very strict and will not let me do any inverted poses - but these are the very poses which calm and renew me - the golden rule is 1, support your head a little if your neck feels strained or uncomfortable, 2, Never do a pose if it doesn't 'feel' right, 3, trust your own instinctive reaction - you will know when to stop - don't do it, just because the class is doing it. Otherwise I think you can carry on. Yoga helps me enormously!
good luck to you!

Thanks for your reply. (1)Has your blood pressure come under control after doing yoga ie resulting in reduction of dosage of BP medicine or total stoppage
Thanks and regards

Yes it has - partly also as a result of weight loss - at first I noticed that my dose was too high - my BP was falling too low and sometimes my pulse raced to compensate - now have almost stopped taking meds (hesitate to say that it is for ever - but yoga definitely has helped)
Go gently however - don't take any risks!

Even with controlled HBP, it is strongly suggested one take preliminary poses such as Prasarita Padottanasana for 5 minutes, then Halasana with feet/legs
over a chair or use a Halasana Bench for another 3-5 minutes before any
other inversion. These poses will quickly identify if the "day" will allow you
to practice additional inversions. Often Chair Sarvangasana is best as the next
asana if your own head pressure indicates everything is okay. Never assume
controlled HBP makes everything okay. It is truly dependent on the day and
practice you're in.
