Fibroids & Menapausal bleeding

Hello,
I have a student and friend who has been having her period constantly. She is menapausal and the doctors have now found large fibroids, which are the cause of the bleeding. They have recommended a hysterectomy. She is hesitant to have one, but, at the same time, cannot continue to have this type of constant bleeding (which ,a t least once, resulted in her having to have a blood transfusion to raise her blood count). Does any one have any knowledge about or experience with asanas and/or sequences that can be helpful in a case such as this one, for stopping bleeding, shrinking fibriods,etc? She is regularly under the care of a doctor, but is also searching for additional help (especially from yoga).
