Hello I am practicing Iyengar yoga on an almost daily basis for the last 7 years. This has helped me solve various minor physical problems I used to have (lower back pain, week wrists, back-neck stiffness) and my physical condition has since been excellent. But, this last year I started having pain in my two big toe joints. It was continuing and getting stronger and chronic, so I visited a doctor, did some blood test and x-rays and was diagnosed with big toe joint arthritis. Doctor suggested me to take anti-inflammation and anti-pain pills and if it gets worst to make a surgery. I don’t want to do any of the two. I am sure that there must be some “foot-asanas” that can strengthen some specific muscles of the feet and stop the process of degeneration of these subtle joints. Any tips please?
