how do twits affect emotional states Can't Post

I have read that spinal twists are contraindicated for people who are prone to depression. What is going on physiologically that would create a depressed state of mind?
I have experienced this effect myself (after feeling wonderful in the pose), and would like to know if it is possible to continue to practice twists without causing emotional upset.

Twits ie silly, ungrounded people, tend to make me irritable!
However, twists help me to see the bigger picture. I reckon they are always helpful when students are getting stuck in the same view, which can often happen to depressed people...They can think they will never improve. However, twists need to be done carefully as they can squeeze the liver and this can cause momentary nausea in beginners; or if not done with enough support/rest/well rounded practice sequence, they can disturb, and ?inspire anger?
Guruji said once that you have to know when to stimulate and when to pacify. I watched a bloke in the medical classes doing a zillion viparita chakrasana drop backs - he was depressed, but he looked pretty special after he'd finished!

JR,
Thank you for your response to my twitty message.
I will study more about liver functioning and also keep in mind Guruji's statement about knowing when to stimulate and when to pacify.

One thing that I would like to clarify: The question was not- How can I perform this pose that makes me look pretty special? -as in the "zillion viparita chakrasana drop backs". I am not coming from that place at all, and I'd hope that in a medical class (or any other class) no one else would be either!
