Eric,
How to Use Yoga by Mira Mehta (publisher Lorenz Books) shows some props being used for remedial purposes. Also there are a few in Yoga The Iyengar Way by the Mehtas.

One of the best Iyengar yoga books that I have is called "The New Yoga for People Over 50" written by Suza Francina. It is filled with photos of many examples of how to work with props. It is a must for anyone who is teaching especially those working with older or more stiff people (who isn't). Great info on how to work with students who have physical limitations such as arthritis and osteoporosis. Another reason why I love this book is that it features articles and meaningful quotes from some of our senior teachers. I have this book and others available on my site at www.daymoonyoga.com. Come check it out. Best of luck to you.

Mr. Iyengar's latest book is filled with pictures showing therapeutic work with props.

YOGA: THE PATH TO HOLISTIC HEALING

Remember, props are used when we need them and not just because they are there. Always try without the props first to discover what is truly best to create the challenge for growth.
