FLAT FEET, fallen arches, FOOTWEAR Can't Post

Flat feet, I got em'. I have been given some good suggestions as to how to work with them in practice but I'd like to know if anyone has any advice as to what kind of shoes are truly helpful in developing or re-establishing a natural arch. I'm due to buy a new pair and I'm ready for some input. What do you think: lot's of arch support, minimal arch support, spend more time barefoot, wear flip-flops...

Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Yes to bare feet, yes to flat shoes, no to added arch supports. Do lots of standing poses with the front ball of foot up, the back heel up, stand with the balls of feet up on blocks, press the big toe mound as the source of action.

I have dropped arches. I am able to practice and teach my yoga classes barefoot because I wear orthotics daily in a sturdy pair of Air Max Nike's. I tried for many years to not use orthotics, but when my inner knees started flaring up, I became wiser. There are postures that can
help your arches such as Virasana.

Good luck!
