To ensure your body is balanced, you should not concentrate on any particular poses, especially as a beginner. By doing the basic poses regularly, you should see an improvement. Invest in a good book, see: http://www.iyengar-yoga.com/Books/ But try to get lessons from a good teacher (see the 'Dilemma of a Guru' thread). There are all kinds of ways things can go wrong, and a good teacher will show you safe ways to practice. Best of luck!
