pascal, If you don't have the book "Light on Pranayama", then you should get it. In there Mr. Iyengar says that the best time to practice "is the early morning, preferably before sunrise". He also suggests "after sunset, when the air is cool and pleasant." Mr. Iyengar states; "Never do asanas immediately after pranayama. There is no harm in practicing pranayama after asana. Pranayama, however, cannot be performed well after strenuous asana. It is advisable to practice both at different times." Try to choose a time where you can practice the same time every day. And, don't be in a rush. Pranayama should come after asanas are mastered. kind regards, jerry |
