Re: Want your help [In reply to] Can't Post

Rohit,

There are two asanas that come to mind. One is pawanmuktasana and other is yastikasana

Pawanmukta is essentially where you lie on your back and slowly as you exhale, fold your legs bring them over your belly. Put your arms around it and slowly draw your knees to you chin. As you are doing that you raise your neck to bring it closer to the knees at the same time. This would help with your back and belly.

Yastikasana is where you lie on your back and slowly as you exhale, raise you awms above you and slowly take it back level with your body. At the same time your feet are stretched outwards. So, you are essentially stretching your body. Good for your back.

I would urge you to talk to someone who practices this to learn how to do it correctly, lest you injure yourself.

And please do it regularly. It will take time.

Re: Want your help [In reply to] Can't Post

in response to your concern, i would recommend doing standing poses mainly for a while. this will work your body well. then add poses like paripurna navasana (full boat pose) and jathara parivartanasana (revolved legs to the side pose) with bent legs. urdhva mukha svanasana (upward facing dog) and ustrasana (camel pose) and urdhva dhanurasana (upward bow pose) with the feet on a chair would be good poses to work on. but most importantly i would recommend talking to a certified iyengar instructor to see their personal advice on this. wishing you the best!
