Red spots in Sirsasana Can't Post

Dear friends,
a relative of mine recently hashad skin problems in sirsasana. Red spots appear on her cheeks and below the eyes while performing the pose. It doesn't look as belonging to the skin, but rather being caused by the blown up of tiny vessels. She is 29 years old, light-weighted, low blood pressure. Signs disappear after 2 days.

Should she perform sirsasana with ropes? May it be a sign of bad blood circulation?

Many thanks

David

Re: Red spots in Sirsasana [In reply to] Can't Post

I get these, too and have the same conditions. I am 33 practicing yoga seriously for almost 5 yrs. My teacher, who holds Advanced Senior Certification in the US, has instructed me to do plenty of warm up before doing Sirsasana. I can easily avoid getting the bruises if I do a few vigorous standing poses and adho mukha svanasana, and uttanasana or prasaritta padottanasana holding for a few minutes. I ALWAYS get bruises if I go into Sirsasana cold(ropes or slings make no difference here). The bruising happens in the first few seconds of being upside down. I can feel a burning which lets me know it is too soon to go there. I never get bruises if I do Sirsasana at the end of a vigorous practice. I don't get them in Sarvangasana or Halasana.
I am very thin 5'8.5" 118# with low blood pressure, cold extremities, and mitral valve prolapse.
