Dear Michelle in my experience, it is normal that you can feel tired after a strong Iyengar yoga lesson, especially when you just started doing yoga. However, I don't think it is good if you feel nauseous after a lesson. I think is is important to inform your teacher, so that he/she can take special care of your situation and maybe adapt some of the postures. Some points you can ask yourself: 1) Do you feel nauseous after all lessons or after one particular lesson (what kind of lesson, backbends, forwardbends,...)? 2) Have you eaten less than three hours before the lesson?
